St. Mary’s Mission Statement
St. Mary’s aims to give children the best possible start in life, by providing a
happy, caring and excellent all-round education that develops every aspect of every
individual.

We aim to:
- Develop happy, confident and capable boys and girls with strong foundations for life
- Provide top quality teaching that meets the individual needs of each child and gives
the best possible preparation for the next stage in their education
- Inculcate Christian values with high levels of support and encouragement in a caring,
friendly, and purposeful environment.
- Offer a wide range of sporting, artistic, creative and cultural opportunities to
maximise each child’s scope for enjoyment and personal development
- Delight parents with our School, its community, and the achievements of their children

As our children move on to their next schools, they leave with confidence and a sense
of achievement. In 2009 the routes chosen by the cohort was thus:
46% went to Independent Schools
25% went to Grammar Schools
29% went to State Schools
