St Mary’s is celebrating World Book Day  on Friday  5th March

Please come dressed as your favourite book character and bring the
book to share with others.

A contribution of £1 will be donated to Book Aid International.

We will enjoy our usual parade of costumes and spend time reading to each other in our reading tents.

Throughout the day we will ‘Drop it and Read!’ when the school bell sounds. The idea is that all members of staff and children take the time to read their books at intervals throughout the day.

At St Mary’s, we want to promote the love of reading – we try to do this every day but World Book Day gives us that extra push!

I hope everyone enjoys the day!!

Sally Harrod (Head of English)

Reminder:

Drama Festival starts Monday 1st March

Class times are posted on the notice board outside the office
and Mrs Harrod’s classroom.

Please could children participating in 9.30 classes be taken straight to the Festival – Central Methodist Church, High Street.
