Mrs Rebecca Blackwood

I have a background in Marketing, working for a London-based firm. I am also a mother of a child in the school.

Mrs Katie Smith

I joined the team a year ago having been a parent at St Mary's for the previous 12 years. I have been actively involved in school life having been chair of the Development Committee for over 5 years. My 3 children have had happy and successful years at St Mary's and I am pleased to be able to give something back to the school.

Mrs Karen Bower-Brown

I am a practising solicitor specialising in commercial litigation and will disputes. I have been a partner at the local firm Sills & Betteridge for several years. I have 3 children all of whom attended St Mary's. Two are now music scholars at Oakham and one is a chorister at St John's College School, Cambridge. Susie who was the most recent to leave St Mary's is also an academic exhibitioner. I am a strong supporter of the fact that St Mary's is not linked to any particular senior school giving families maximum choice. It is a privilege for me to be able to give something back to St Mary's as a governor now that my children have left.

Mr James Butcher

I am a 37 year old Chartered Surveyor, having qualified in 2000 and a Partner at Lincoln based Chartered Surveyors Banks Long & Co, where I deal with a wide range of commercial property work on behalf of a variety of national, regional and local clients. I am married with 2 children and outside of work enjoy playing or watching most sports.

Mr Iain Cockhill

I am a Chartered Surveyor running a general building company in the county. I have also established a construction company in Grand Cayman specialising in office and college projects. Formerly, I worked for a London based firm of Chartered Surveyors managing property assets and investments on behalf of institutional landlords. My areas of expertise are in construction, maintenance and landlord and tenant negotiations. I am a parent governor with two children currently at St. Mary's School

Mr Russell Eke

I am a Father of five, a solicitor and head of corporate commercial at Wilkin Chapman (largest law firm in the county). I bring a commercial perspective to legal issues.

Mr Simon Reid

I am a Deputy Head of a Senior Independent School in Nottinghamshire (Worksop College) and have been so for 6 years. Apart from my background as an English teacher, I am involved in the general management of the school on a day-to-day basis, I market the school by meeting prospective parents and I sit on the Governors Management committee which oversees the financial management of the College.
My selection as governor of St Mary’s is based on my background as secondary school deputy head and the experience I might offer in guiding the school in matters relating to school policies, parental complaints, marketing and senior staff appointments.

Mr Michael Pickles

I have had 28 years experience in banking, and currently hold the position of Commercial Bank Manager with Yorkshire Bank. I brings a wealth of financial experience to the board of governors.
